To achieve this, we need strong presence in the market, people who can build relationships, expand access, and ensure our products reach all families in Kenya.

 

We are therefore seeking Regional Sales Representatives who are motivated by both performance and impact.


2. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Regional Sales Representative will drive sales performance within an assigned region through field engagement, distributor development, and customer relationship management.

 

3. IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision

4. TERRITORY & WORK STRUCTURE

  • Coverage: Defined counties/towns within assigned region

  • Field Time: 80–90%

  • Office/Admin: 10–20%

  • Travel: Frequent (daily field movement required)

 

5. KEY OBJECTIVES OF THE ROLE

·        Achieve consistent sales growth

·        Build distribution network

·        Ensure product availability

·        Develop strong relationships

·        Provide market intelligence

 

 

6. SCOPE OF WORK / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A. Sales Execution

  • Achieve monthly revenue and volume targets

  • Drive repeat orders from customers

B. Distribution Development

  • Identify and onboard:

    • Wholesalers

    • Sub-distributors

    • Retailers

  • Build and manage distributor relationships

  • Ensure consistent stock movement

C. Market Expansion

  • Map territory (key towns, outlets, routes)

  • Open new outlets weekly

  • Expand geographic coverage

D. Field Execution

  • Conduct 30–40 outlet visits per week

  • Ensure:

    • Product visibility

    • Proper placement

    • Stock availability

E. Market Intelligence

  • Track competitor:

    • Pricing

    • Products

    • Promotions

  • Provide:

    • Customer feedback

    • Market gaps

    • Opportunities

F. Reporting

Submit:

  • Daily activity reports

  • Weekly performance summary

  • Monthly territory review

 


 

 

7. COMPENSATION STRUCTURE

  • Base Salary: 30,000 to KES 40,000 based on experience

  • Monthly Commission income: Up to KES 100,000 + performance-based

·        % of sales revenue

·        Bonus for new distributor onboarding and territory expansion milestones

 

8. QUALIFICATIONS

·        Diploma/Degree in Business or related field

·        +2 years sales experience

·        Valid driving licence

11. PATHWAY TO GROWTH

This role is a pathway into Plumbee’s sales leadership team. High performers can progress to:

  • Regional Sales Manager

  • Key Account Manager (Modern Trade / Institutional Sales)

  • Distributor Manager

  • Sales & Market Development Manager

 

Growth is driven by performance, ownership, and results

·        Progression can occur within 6–12 months for top performers
